Melissa officinalis L. bitkisinin apoptoz ve otofaji yoluyla insan meme kanser hücre hattı üzerine etkisi

Purpose: The aim of this research is to see how Melissa officinalis L. affects the death pathways MCF-7 breast cancer cells in vitro.
 Materials and Methods: In order determine cytotoxic activity IC50 value 70% methanolic extract prepared from aerial parts officinalis, on cell line; was applied at different concentrations times MTT analysis performed. Apoptotic effects determined dose were revealed by TUNEL method, autophagic using Beclin-1 LC3 immunofluorescence staining method. 
 Results: When evaluated, it observed that viability line decreased a dose- time-dependent manner. addition, induced apoptosis increased immunoreactivity autophagy markers LC3.
 Conclusion: Findings study showed has effect through both pathways. These data will lead further vitro studies necessary elucidate antitumor mechanism action.
